I'm raring to go...let's charge!!!

Don't worry, both Daddy & I are pro :)

We were supposed to attend little Ian's 2nd birthday party today but because I was having a flu(sore throat, runny nose & slight coughing) since Tuesday, I decided we should give it a miss due to the recent H1N1 hype and am quite sure even though doc has confirmed its not H1N1, others may not welcome the thought of someone sick standing beside their precious one. Will have to pass Ian his pressie the next time we meet. Happy Birthday Ian Gor Gor!!!
Then Joycelyn called me on Friday to check if I wanted to bring Krissa for a free 45mins trial at My Little Gym @ Marina Square at 10.10a.m.- this is a new branch, probably explains why it is FOC. Thinking that its only 45mins and we will not be going anywhere else after the trial, I agreed. Karine and her lovely girl, Zenn, joined us too.
I had entertained thoughts that Krissa would be happy as it has been a long time since her My Gym days BUT I was terribly wrong! The day started fine with her raring to go but as soon as we reached My Little Gym, she refused to step inside the baby gym!!! Daddy had to carry her in. She refused to partake in the group activities despite coaxing from us and Teacher Zul but not long after, she soon found her favourite obstacle and kept running back to the same obstacle after having a go at the other stations. Perhaps due to her early association with these setups at My Gym, she doesn't find them exciting or maybe she was just into one of her "da xiao jie" moods. However, both Trishelle & Zenn were all smiles throughout the class:)
My personal comments on My Little Gym: Not as good as My Gym because the curriculum is not as structured. In fact, most times are allocated for free play. Due to the presence of only 1 teacher, he had a hard time controlling the movements of the inquisitive kids, so we ended up having kids all over the gym. Its quite awkward when you have only 2 children holding onto a big parachute while the other kids wander in the other parts of the spacious gym. There was also no storytelling and the background music(more like a narrator giving instructions) didn't set the mood for play. The teacher did not give a good demo on the gym exercise too, thus most parents were not quite sure how to "flip" their child over their body and land them to safety. Daddy did alright as Krissa did this "stunt" when she was 6mths old at My Gym.
