Wannabe Model @ Kids' Loft - 27/06/2009

Hmmm..... think my girl can flaunt her modelling skills on the runway soon. See how well she can balance the bean bag? I'm pleasantly surprise at her new found ability......hahhaha!!! My camera battery died on me, so pix are courtesy of Shanice's mummy.....thanx babe!!!

Picnic Time @ Kids' Loft - 27/06/09

Thanx to the delish custard raspberry/blueberry cuppies which Auntie Corinna (mummy to pretty Shanice in Krissa's weekly playschool) brought, the kiddos had a "picnic" at the patio instead of the classroom during snack time. Juz when I eagerly took out my camera to capture the smile on everyone's face, my camera battery failed me....okok, I should assume full responsibility, not the camera...hehheh....I forgot to charge it. Luckily, Auntie Sherl(mummy to dainty Claire) lent me her camera to take some pix . Will post the "picnic" pix up once I receive them.
Maybe kids at their age are more receptive to biscuits, thus when Teacher Lavina took the biscuits out, most of the children almost immediately put the cuppies back onto their paper plates, waiting eagerly for the biscuits instead. So what did we do with the less-than-half eaten cuppies? We mommies ate it!!! I was happy to wolf it down 'coz I was VERY hungry....hahhaha!!!! Brownie points: The cuppie was DELICIOUS.....the sponge wasn't sweet thus the natural sweetness of the blueberry blended wonderfully well with it!!! Oh mine..........can hear my stomach growl as I am writing this.......drools.............

Night Safari - 27/06/2009

My Happy Family

Daddy's Girl

My 2nd Uncle & K

My Younger Sis, Anna & Her Children
After visiting my grandparents in the day, we decided to visit the Night Safari as there is 50% off the admission fee throughout the month of June 2009. We juz had to take advantage of this promotion!! So off we charge!!! Our troop also consists of my younger sis Anna & her 2 kids(Leroy & Zegna) and my second uncle. Due to the promotion and being the last Saturday of June 2009, there was a huge turnout and we ended queueing for about 30mins for our tix. At about 9.45p.m., Zegna dozed off to slumberland, followed by K at about 11p.m., then Leroy. K has managed to finish all the sights, show and slightly more than half the tram ride before dozing off. I was very proud of K because she wasn't afraid of the dark and stayed ever so cooperative when she was suppose to keep silent. I was also glad to see her gesturing at the animals excitedly and going wah...wah....to me, this shows that she was learning through the experience. Ok, to resolve the sleepy bug issue, Daddy and I have decided we should make another trip......when she's older.

Krissa Visits Great Grandparents In Her Yukata - 27/06/2009

I got this from JShoppers at a mere S$16+ per set with FOC international shipping fee. K looked sooo kawaii!! I was initially worried that she may not pull off this colour as K is kinda tan, but it looks like my worries are unfounded. I love my grandpa and my grandpa loves me too, thus I will try to bring K to visit her Great Grandpa weekly hoping to narrow the huge generation gap between them.

Backlog 2 - Zegna's 2nd Birthday (10/05/2009)

Happy 2nd Birthday to my dearest niece, Zegna Goh!!! May you grow up healthy, happy and wise. Zegna's birthday was celebrated at East Coast Park where we had a picnic. With glorious blue sky, sand and water, what more can our 3 little imps asked for?

Backlog 1 - Animal Resort (09/05/2009)

The visit to Animal Resort was an impromptu decision. We had only arranged to go to the MPH sale at The Expo with Joycelyn & family(hubs Ryan & pretty gal Trishelle) and after our conquest, we decided to make our way down as coincidentally, both families were free. Animal Resort was indeed a very interesting place for city dwellers in general. The gals had great fun feeding the rabbits, ducks, goats etc. It was indeed an educational trip for the kiddos and Krissa certainly look forward to visiting it again soon.

Going Gaga Over Shoes

Does a little tod really need more than 1 pair of shoes? In my context, a definite YES!!! Just like her wardrobe and hair clippies, I love to buy shoes for Krissa in different colour and style. I like to dress her up in boots, mary janes, sneakers.....I mean, you need to have the "IT" shoes to complete the look!! My latest craze is GUCIO shoes which are handmade from Poland. I have been eyeing this brand of shoes for the longest time but as I dunno where to buy from locally and I can't bear to burn a hole in my pocket to import them from abroad, I had dropped the idea ages ago that is till that fateful day. Hahahaha.....maybe its fated for me to eventually lay my hands on them; a mummy posted a BP thread on the Singapore Motherhood Forum that she is clearing the shoes at an unbelievably low price...only S$30/pair!!! How can I resist? Hehehe....I ended up with 3 pairs in different sizes and colours..............so contented:)

Happy Papa's Day - Part 2 (21/06/2009)

The whole Papa's day was split into 2 for the 2 most important men in my life - my greatest hubs & my greatest dad. Day was spent at the Birdpark with hubs and K and night was reserved for my papa. We(including my 2 wonderful sis & family) had buffet at Sakura @ Tampines SAFRA. Happy Father's Day, Dad....I LOVE YOU ALOT though I've never say it loud. Thanx for bringing me up and supporting me all these while no matter how wild and stubborn I was and still is ;p

Happy Papa's Day - Part 1 (21/06/2009)

Papa Liu suggested going to Jurong Birdpark as Krissa loves birds....she would say "bird! bird" non-stop especially when she sees one in motion. Krissa's first trip to the Birdpark was on 17th March 2009. I was on leave and brought her there myself, Papa Liu did not join us as he had class to attend. HAPPY PAPA'S DAY, WE LOVE YOU LOTS!!! MUACKS!!!!

New Look For Bloggy

How how? Do u like the new look? I'm still relatively new to blogging, thus had to spend quite abit of time changing the skin of the blog. The main problem I ran into was most of the nicer skins are written in XML instead of HTML and thus may not be compatible with the newer version of Blogger which I'm using now. Hehehe.....after some efforts, issue resolved!!! I'm so proud of my new "outfit".

Art for Zig Zag (Young Parents) Magazine?

23rd May 2009, 21mths
04th April 2009, 20mths

Read from the June 2009 issue of Young Parents magazine that they are accepting submission of children artworks which will be published in the upcoming issue of Zig Zag, so I submitted these 2 works done solely by Krissa, dunno if I'm too late. Hmmm.............perhaps a Picasso in the making? Hehehe...I'd better treasure and keep these works properly............who knows? They maybe worth zillionsssssss in future!!! Dream, dream, dream................

Playschools

Krissa @ Kids' Loft

Krissa @ Art Loft
Krissa @ Playdays

Krissa @ Kindermusik

Krissa @ My Gym

I'm not joking.......Krissa has been attending playschools since she was 6mths old!!! Did I juz hear u call me the typical S'porean down with the KS syndrome? Hahaha...I didn't expect to turn out to be one but when a kid really comes along, I find myself jumping on the wagon, trawling the web, doing tons and tons of research on the various courses and boy was I overwhelmed by the number of courses available for kiddos who are not even 1!! Anyhow, I pride myself as one who does not follow the crowd blindly.
Here'a a list of playschools which K had attended/is still attending:
1) My Gym @ Marine Parade (6mths - 15mths)
2) Kindermusik @ Tanglin Mall (6mths - 22mths).
3) Playdays @ Clementi Arcade (15mths - 20mths)
4) Art Loft @ 8QSAM (17mths - Present)
5) Little Neuro Tree @ Serangoon (17mths - Present)
6) Kids' Loft @ Turf City (20mths - Present)

Goodbye to Kindermusik: As I have signed K for a trial lesson @ Mandeville on 01st Aug 2009, Daddy decided that Kindermusik should be stopped and allow K more time to play, at least for the whole of July 2009. K's last lesson at Kindermusik was 14th June 2009. We had initially decided to sign up for another month till Mandeville begins, thus I was kinda sad that Daddy changed his mind. Haiz...All Good Things Must Come To An End..........Kudos to Teacher Shauna and Teacher Ying Wei who have accompanied Krissa through the many happy Sundays spent at Kindermusik.

Procrastinating Mummy

I've been contemplating to blog way before KRISSA was born and did I get anywhere near? Hahahaha....far from it!!! Ok, enough is enough, my girl will turn 2 in July 2009....scary, time flies!!! This shall be my virgin post and marks the end of my procrastination ;P
HIHI WORLD!!! WE'RE THE LIUS!!!!!
