International Friendship Day - 16/04/2010

My favourite picture!! Her school's hat was a good match for her kimono!
Don't K look like the ambassador of the school?

K at grandma's home before going to school

K helped to keep the toys. Wish she could be as organized at home!

To mark International Friendship Day, parents were asked to dress their child in costumes representing either their native country or other countries. If not for this day, I had nearly forgotten about a set of cotton kimono which I had bought about a year ago. It was very interesting to see children clad in different costumes. Apart from the usual Chinese, Japanese and Korean costumes, there were Hawaiian, Indonesian, Thai etc.

Happy Easter - 02/04/2010 & 03/04/2010

02/04: Easter chocolates for Krissa's classmates and teachers

03/04/2010: Happy K having a hearty brunch of chocolate
banana pancakes and hot chocolate after Art Loft
03/04/2010: Easter art and craft bought from the Food For Thought cafe
where we had our brunch. They make a mean pumpkin risotto! Yummy!!

K Loves Her Hat - 28/03/2010

After all the fun she had with her motorised car and other toys, K insisted on wearing this hat and pulled it below her eyes....and to make herself more comfortable, she placed our bolsters on her sides and propped her legs on them! Before we knew it, she had already dozed off...hahahah!!

K's Car - 28/03/2010

Look at my tomboy! Look at where her legs were...aarghhhh!!! K's legs were propped on the sides of her motorised car because the "insides" were filled with toys, thus there was no legroom for her!! She was having such a good time that we had to switch off the lights and threatened that we were going to bed without her to make her keep her toys.

Recipe for Cooling Beverage

I got this "cooling" beverage recipe from my colleague who got it from her boy's childcare center teacher. This recipe came about as there is this girl who rarely falls sick and when probed by her teacher, the girl's granny said it maybe due to this drink which she prepares for her grand daughter every week. Cook this beverage as you would cook barley water.

K's 1st Taste of Lollipop - 21/03/2010

We had gone to Queensway Shopping Center to hunt for a new pair of school shoes for K and when K passed by one of the shops, her eyes lingered at a bunch of lollipops for the longest time, so we decided to let her try. It was her 1st lollipop and she definitely enjoyed it!

It's Good To Be Free - 20/03/2010

More shoes for K! K eagerly took off her own pair of shoes.
Another 2 more pair of shoes to add to K's growing collection ;)
We have been going back to this lady for K's haircut as her
skills is good. K had a splash of colour on her hair..party time!

I love this picture of K! Just like an anime character!
